awesome, but heat element burned out within 2 years! December 29, 2008 Pamela Gangler (phoenix, az) I Love this hair dryer, and payed a mighty pretty penny for it. My hair looked the best it ever has. So i am sooo dissapointed that i have owned it exactley 2 years, to the week, and it broke down.My cosmetologist friend said it was the heating element. I cleaned the filter, just as they had instructed every two months. I used it about 3 times a week, and have short fine hair. So it wasn't used an awful lot. The warranty's over. Hmmmm.... is it any accident that it broke after the warranty? i think not. So, good dryer. Just be prepared that it might not last.
A NOTE ABOUT THE WARRANTY ISSUE July 25, 2008 Justice (Atlanta, Georgia) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am in the market for a fabulous dryer for my natural african-american hair. I have heard rave reviews about the T3, which my stylist uses. However, the concerns regarding whether the manufacturer will honor the warranty if you buy from Amazon turned me off. I noticed that there were mixed postings however on whether the manufacturer will or will not honor the warranty. So, after hunting around on Amazon, I realized that there are two manufacturers selling the T3 on Amazon, with a significant price difference: Beauty Collection and Discount Jungle. Beauty Collection specifically states in its warranty description that it will honor the 48 month manufacturer. I plan to buy the dryer, but read the product description before you buy and decide whether the difference in price is worth buying with the warranty.

You have no warraranty on this product if you purchase through Amazon. Usually, that would not be a big deal, but chances are you will have problems. Ours is shooting sparks after a year and a half. After reading the reviews on Folica's site, this is not uncommon. It's a lot of money to spend for that length of time.
Also note, if you do buy from an authorized dealer on T3's short list, it has to be registered within 21 days of purchase to be valid.
It is quiet and light, but others will give better performance.
Works like magic! October 29, 2007 MDiva 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
My old cheap drugstore blow dryer always left my thick long African American hair with frazzled ends, even right after a trim. I bought another blow dryer, this time, from the beauty supply. Even after spending about $30 over the drug store model and buying what the salesgirl said was the top-selling blow dryer, I still suffered from frizzies and burned, straw-looking hair. I spent $$$ on all kinds of products, only to end up looking like a scarecrow. My hair only looked good after seeing a stylist. For the past two years, I stopped wearing straight hair altogether and just wore my hair curly and natural. But that got old after a while--I missed having straight hair! Finally, I decided to get a more professional tool. After much research, I ended up with the T3. Wow! I found the lighter weight instantly appealing. I love the cord length as well. The heat is much lower than what I used before, but the speed settings are exceptional. Results? I cut down on my drying time and instead of dry, dull, lifeless hair, I now get soft, silky and smooth hair all the way to the ends! And the best part is, I don't need to use an iron afterward. Now, when I read that in other reviews, I just knew those people had to be exaggerating. But it's true! So now that I no longer use curling and flat irons after blow-drying my hair straight, the health and texture of my hair has improved dramatically. In my opinion, the T3 has more than paid for itself. Here's to Happy Healthy Hair!
Pretty Good December 25, 2006 Lana H. Neveu (Albany, NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I received the T3 featherlight for Christmas today. I could not wait to use it. I have very curly thinning hair. It did a great job. My hair did dry faster and I think once I figure the best brush to use it will serve my purposes well. I'm impressed. I tried to register it on the Tourmaline website and I was unable to do so because it I could not find the serial number. The website states that Amazon was not a registered distributor.
